During the European Urban Forest Week, Dublin, Milan, Barcelona and Brasov will launch innovative projects to create new urban green spaces, with the aim to improve the quality of life of the people who live in them. The action is part of a long process included in the European project Uforest. Bringing public organisations, businesses and universities together, Uforest promotes innovation and entrepreneurship in urban forestry to contribute to the development of greener and healthier cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" data-fontsize=\"32\" data-lineheight=\"48\"><strong>L\u2019importanza delle foreste urbane<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" data-fontsize=\"32\" data-lineheight=\"48\">Entro il 2050 l\u201984% della popolazione europea vivr\u00e0 in aree urbane. Per questo, \u00e8 fondamentale pianificare citt\u00e0 pi\u00f9 sostenibili e vivibili. <strong>Le foreste urbane offrono soluzioni efficaci a molte delle sfide poste dalla crescente urbanizzazione e dai cambiamenti climatici<\/strong>. Per esempio, possono <strong>ridurre l\u2019effetto isola di calore<\/strong>, fornire una <strong>migliore qualit\u00e0 dell\u2019aria<\/strong> e <strong>aumentare la biodiversit\u00e0<\/strong>. Tuttavia, troppo spesso l\u2019attuazione di queste soluzioni trova molti ostacoli. In questo contesto, <strong>Uforest<\/strong> \u00e8 nato per fornire una migliore informazione e formazione sulla silvicoltura urbana a studenti e professionisti. Attraverso eventi, opportunit\u00e0 di apprendimento e workshop, il progetto \u00e8 riuscito a coinvolgere pi\u00f9 di 1.000 persone in tutto il mondo. Ma Uforest non \u00e8 solo teoria: per dimostrare che le foreste urbane sono una soluzione efficace, il progetto creer\u00e0 4 nuove foreste urbane in <strong>4 diverse citt\u00e0 europee<\/strong>. Ogni foresta urbana \u00e8 stata progettata per rispondere in modo innovativo alle esigenze specifiche delle diverse comunit\u00e0 locali:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/blog.wownature.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Uforest-foreste-urbane-in-Europa-1024x473-4.jpg\" alt=\"Foresta urbana con persone che camminano\"  class=\"attachment-large size-large wp-image-536149 wp-image-1325\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Una foresta a forma di ciambella per Darndale, Dublino<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Darndale, un quartiere a nord di Dublino, Uforest e il <strong>Trinity College di Dublino<\/strong> hanno voluto creare una foresta urbana in grado di fornire <strong>benefici sociali e sanitari<\/strong>, e non solo ambientali. In questo senso, la ciambella di Darndale mira a <strong>supportare la comunit\u00e0 locale migliorando il benessere e la salute dei cittadini,<\/strong> rafforzando al contempo l\u2019<strong>inclusione sociale<\/strong>, la coesione e l\u2019equit\u00e0. Per questo motivo, la comunit\u00e0 di Darndale sar\u00e0 direttamente coinvolta nell\u2019attivit\u00e0 di imoianto degli alberi e nella futura manutenzione del bosco. La Darndale Doughnut sar\u00e0 composta da 3000 specie autoctone, come querce, betulle, salici e noccioli, piantati a forma di ciambella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a class=\"elementor-button elementor-button-link elementor-size-sm\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wownature.eu\/areewow\/darndale-donut\/\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-button-content-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-button-text\">Adotta un albero<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Una tiny forest con enormi benefici a Milano<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Basate sul lavoro del botanico giapponese Akira <strong>Miyawaki<\/strong>, le tiny forests sono f<strong>oreste su piccola scala che possono apportare i benefici di grandi spazi verdi.<\/strong> Piantando molte specie diverse molto vicine tra loro, questo metodo pu\u00f2 creare foreste a <strong>crescita rapida in terreni degradati<\/strong>: una soluzione perfetta per l\u2019area di Cernusco sul Naviglio! In collaborazione con il <strong>Politecnico di Milano e Forestami<\/strong>, Uforest ha l\u2019obiettivo di far crescere una piccola foresta per fornire benefici ambientali e sanitari in quest\u2019area altamente industrializzata alle porte di Milano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a class=\"elementor-button elementor-button-link elementor-size-sm\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wownature.eu\/areewow\/tiny-forest-milano\/\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-button-content-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-button-text\">Sei un&#8217;azienda? Sostieni la foresta<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rifugio climatico a Barcellona<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le ondate di calore colpiscono sempre pi\u00f9 spesso l\u2019Europa, in particolare le sue aree mediterranee. In questo contesto, le citt\u00e0 sono particolarmente vulnerabili a causa del gi\u00e0 noto effetto isola di calore urbana. Le soluzioni di forestazione urbana possono contribuire ad <strong>affrontare l\u2019aumento del calore nelle citt\u00e0 mediterranee, fornendo ombra e rinfrescando le strade<\/strong>. Il rifugio climatico di Barcellona \u00e8 stato sviluppato in collaborazione con l\u2019<strong>Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcellona<\/strong> e gli studenti della Scuola di specializzazione Uforest, nell\u2019ambito della Uforest Innovation Challenge. Divisi in gruppi, gli studenti hanno sviluppato il proprio progetto di rifugio climatico, rispondendo alle esigenze specifiche della citt\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Foresta smart-tech a Brasov<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sviluppata in collaborazione con l\u2019Universit\u00e0 Transilvania di Brasov, la foresta Smart-tech sar\u00e0 piantata nell\u2019area circostante la citt\u00e0 di Brasov, in Romania. Questa nuova foresta urbana conterr\u00e0 querce, aceri, frassini e ciliegi selvatici: un mix naturale di specie che aumenter\u00e0 la biodiversit\u00e0 e fornir\u00e0 riparo e cibo a molti animali. Cosa la rende una foresta smar-tech? Saranno <strong>installati diversi sensori per monitorare i benefici degli alberi su aria, clima e paesaggio<\/strong>. Il sensore principale sar\u00e0 <strong>meteorologico<\/strong>, <strong>pedologico<\/strong> e <strong>spettrale<\/strong> e fornir\u00e0 dati utili per la gestione della foresta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a class=\"elementor-button elementor-button-link elementor-size-md\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wownature.eu\/areewow\/smart-tech-forest\/\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-button-content-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-button-text\">View the area<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/blog.wownature.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Uforest-WOWnature-Darndale-Donut-Dublin42-1024x576-2.jpg\" alt=\"Darndale Donut\"  class=\"attachment-large size-large wp-image-536545 wp-image-1326\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La Settimana europea delle foreste urbane segna l\u2019inizio di un futuro pi\u00f9 verde. Anche se gli eventi si svolgeranno solo per 7 giorni, il loro impatto si prolungher\u00e0 anno dopo anno. Le nuove foreste urbane rimarranno alle loro comunit\u00e0, fornendo benefici ambientali, sociali e sanitari alle generazioni presenti e future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uforest.eu\/\"><strong>Uforest<\/strong><\/a> \u00e8 un progetto di Knowledge Alliance cofinanziato dal Programma Erasmus+ della Commissione europea.
